One of the most powerful features of the text element is the ability to organize information in a tabular format. The way this is accomplished is by adding HTML table elements to the block of text. This document will describe how to control those elements.

Adding columns and rows (also referred to as tables) inside of KTML is a pretty easy procedure, to get started with your new table click on the 'Insert 2 x 2 Table' (its the one that looks like a calendar) on the KTML panel.

If you click on the down arrow next to the table tool you will get a drop down that allows you to define exactly how many columns and rows you would like to insert. For this tutorial we will create a table that is three columns long and two rows high.

Now that our new table is in place we can adjust how it is displayed in our article, to do this we will need to click on the newly made table, near the bottom of the KTML panel you will see a string of text:

< P > < TABLE > < TBODY > < TR > < TD > Remove Tag Remove Classes

You will want to click on the < TABLE > link. That will bring up the options shown here.

Here we can adjust how the table is displayed, changing things like the width and height of the table, padding and spacing of the cells, border thickness, and alignment. For this demo I will make some severe changes so you can get a general idea of what each one does..

It's also possible to insert a table inside of one that has already been created, there is nothing special to do just created it how you normally would. Just select how many rows and columns you would like inserted and you are ready to go.

For an example of how this can work for you take a look at the screen shots below, this shows a Gestalt 2 powered site using tables.
